The network Atmosf’air is a network watching the atmospheric pollution in Burgundy. Its main activities are the organization of a measuring site grid, and the information to the public. It is composed historically of an association Atmosf’air Bourgogne Centre-Nord, based in Dijon, and of an association Atmosf’air Bourgogne du sud, based in Chalon sur Saône.

The Saône et Loire department has 7 air quality measuring sites, 6 in urban areas of the department (Chalon sur Saône, Mâcon, Le Creusot…), and 1 out in the countryside, to be used as a reference for measurements in the department.

The measurement results are automatically repatriated, and forwarded to the Internet site of Atmosf’air Bourgogne du sud.
